//about

A school that wins competitions shouldn't keep the secret.

For three years, Platform Schools has quietly dominated national ICT competitions. PITA is how that work stops being a handful of star students and becomes a program any student can join.

mission

Every secondary-school student in Lagos should be able to build technology, not just consume it.

Students studying and building

//the story

From competition wins to a permanent program.

The short version: the results came first, the academy came second.

Platform Schools launched PITA alongside its A-Level pre-university programme, with one idea: the students who'd been winning national IT competitions didn't do it by luck. They did it because the school took ICT seriously — real practice, real projects, real expectations.

PITA takes that same seriousness and opens it up. You don't need to be a competition finalist to join. You need to be a secondary-school student who wants to build things, and to show up.

//values

Three words run the place.

Build

A project on the internet beats a theory in the notebook. Every student ships something real, every term.

Think

Code is the medium. Problem decomposition, debugging, and asking better questions are the actual curriculum.

Own

Students present their own work at demo day, defend their own decisions, and keep their own portfolios.

//receipts

How we got here.

2022 – 2024

Platform Schools builds a quiet reputation — three consecutive years of dominance in national ICT and chess competitions.

2025

A 16-year-old Platform College student wins the ₦10m Digital For All Challenge, beating 15,000+ entrants nationwide.

Now

PITA turns that momentum into a permanent academy — a place where any secondary-school student, not just competition finalists, learns to build.
